Peep or Scope for Savage 99F .243 Winchester w/Tang Safety

I would appreciate recommendations for a peep or scope (and mounts) for subject gun. I doubt any shooting would be over 200 yards.

back in the day, some actually chose both. when i started hunting in the late 40s both my father and brother had 99s
with recever sights. back then scopes were a rarity on hunting rifles. later many chose a side mount or a see thru top
mount so both sights could be used. i still have an 88 winchester which would be similar to your 99 with a see thru
top mount and a receiver sight.

Thanks. I have been scouting the various peep sight manufacturers and it looks, so far, like Williams (#1290 or #1292) and New England Custom Gun (N-106) offer something. If anyone has others, please advise.
