savage 64 62 difference

I am sure this is a dumb question, but... is there any difference? I picked up an older model 64 on the cheap for the kids to shoot and the wood stock is beat to heck and back. I would like to put it in a synthetic stock and found one for a model 62, looks the same to me but wanted to make sure before I bought it.
Also, is anyone making an aftermarket stock for these? I can't seem to find one.

i havnt seen an aftermarket one, but if i frind one ill let you know bc i wouldnt mind putting one on my 64, as for as the stock fitting im not to sure, i would stick to the same model

take a picture of the action of your 64 and take measurements and I'll take my 62 apart and take measurements with my calipers to see if they are the same
