Is anyone using 6mm 105 grain bullets in a stock barreled gun?

Hey all! I read on another forum recently about someone shooting 105 A-maxes out of a Savage. According to that guy it has worked out quite well for him: Pretty nice groups at a 100 and small critters taken over 300 or so. His gun was stock, Predator Max1 I believe. Has anyone here had similar success with 105-107 grain pills launched out of a stock barrel with 9.25/1 twist? I bought a 243 rifle not too long ago (11VT) and even picked up a couple of boxes of 105 grainers today (Hornady HPBT and Berger hunting VLDs) inspired by that thread but before I get all exited and start loading them figured I 'd ask here. The sequence of events here may be a little a*s backwards I do realize and I should 've asked here first but in any case those bullets aren't gonna be wasted - I will be getting an aftermarket barrel for it at some point. Thanks in advance!

P.S. In case it is a wrong forum feel free to move/delete - haven't found more suitable place to post it.

Ive used them in both my model 12 6br and in my 243 axis and both went just fine. The br was just for fun it didnt quite have the oomph to push them long range but as small game rounds in my 243 they work a treat

Yep I shoot them just fine in my model 11. In fact I've shot them out to 800 holding half moa. I have since switched to the 95gr match king because that's all I have been able to find locally and have been very pleased with them as well.

I use the 105 AMAX in my savage 12f in 6br, they shoot very well and are quite a bit cheaper over here compared to sierra or bergers

I should have rephrased my question specifying 9.25:1 twist in particular I just realized. Sure those 12 series target guns with the "eight" twist will handle it fine. Stomp's example gives me hopes though! Thanks for the replies guys!
