    IMR 4350

Anybody done any load work-up on 55gr. 223 with IMR 4350 ? I understand it's not the best choice, just trying something different.

No velocity with compressed loads. What are you trying to do?

80% loads are the best generic starting point.

Just trying some with 223. Loaded 9, 25.0, 25.5, 26.0, none were very accurate. Loaded 25.0 with #41 CCI got .8 at 100yds.

You can't get enough 4350 into the case to cause a pressure problem.

My goto's with a 55 gr. bullet in the .223 are Varget and RL 15.

IMR 4350 in my opinion is much too bulky for such a small case.

Now my favorite load for my 223 is IMR 4198 at 21.5gr bullets just off the lands. works well for me.
