Cool Well, I did it.. I really did it...

I bought the FCP-K in 308. Having it shipped to CDI so they can mount it up with their bottom metal in a Choate stock. And I ordered the Scope from Camerland NY.

So here is what this looks like so far:

    FCP-K in 308
Choate Custom Tactical Stock (fully adjustable)
Vortex Viper HS LR 6-24 x 50 FFP
EGW 20 MOA base and EGW rings
    3 AI 10rd mags

Now all I need to gather up is a good case and a bipod... of and some boo-lits.

    I have a sickness.

You're gonna love it! I clean mine every 300 rounds or so whether it needs it or not! I just changed the stock to an XLR and am getting used to it now. Great rifle.

Mine is setup with the egw base Burris rings, vortex viper scope, I'm still using the accustock for now and I love it. Its a solid half moa rifle and I have had some .25 moa groups out of it. My Remington was only a half moa after spending a bunch more money on it.

    Excellent rifle.

I treat mine the same way as Joe. Clean every 300 to 350. Stays on zero. Shoots a LOT better than I do. With my 125 gr Coyote load, leaving that 24" tube at lil over 3000fps, the recoil feels like a strong .22 little pelt damage and deadly out to 400 yds. With 175 and bigger pills consistent out to 1000 and a bit beyond.
    Yer gonna love yours.
    Good Shootin!

Got a 1750 case inbound, and found a Versapod BattlePack bipod at excellent prices, and even some GMM 168's at an outstanding price (ordered 4 boxes) now it's just a waiting thing.

I'm loading 175gr SMKs over 44.8 grs BL-C(2) best group so far was one hole and fit under a quarter in at 100 yds...just a bi-pod, no bags or sled or anything else. That's good enough for me!

Well, all the goodies are here!

    Rifle: CHECK! (and it's seksi)
    Optic: CHECK! (thanks CameraLandNY!)
    Bipod: CHECK!
    Base & Rings: CHECK!
    Pelican Case: CHECK!
    bOOlITs: CHECK!

Range: NO BUENO! My range is property of the National Forest Service.... so, until the buttwads in Washinton decide to unass their heads, all I can do is look at it.

It looks to be a karsten with added neoprene(kick eze) pads on it to make it higher and more comfortable.
Willing to give back for what the sport has done for me!

Boy that's a great looking rig. So CDI makes a trigger guard bolt release bottom metal. Is that new?

It's a Choate Tactical Custom adjustable.

And yes, CDI is making bottom metal now... they take AI 5- or 10-round mags.

    :)

Actually CDI did the stock. Stock was $500, Bottom metal was like $250 with installation, and the AI mags were 80 each.

    shooter,

Sorry didn't see your question until now. It is a Karsten with the pad they provide installed initially. Then, over time found that my weld wasn't solid enough at that height, and raising the rest one hole was too high. Soooo, a little looking around and I find an old mouse pad of the wife's (don't tell her) and flipped over, using the bottom, no perty flowers (wouldn't have known if I hadn't told ya) and not tooo rough fer my sensitive face LOL. And the perfect height for proper weld.
