Ship......I have the Millett Tactical DMS Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 1-4x 24mm Illuminated Circle Dot Reticle Matte. Midway has 'em for $229 and you may find 'em less somewhere else. These have an illuminated circle dot and at 100 yards I shoot one ragged hole with my Hornet. For 200 yards they are "Fox and Raccoon" MOA for sure. I put this on because this Hornet will be used for hight hunting both Fox and Raccoon here in Pa. I also have one on my 22-Mag rifle.

    FWIW

I'm not very impressed with the Nikon scopes as a whole. I have a prostaff 2-7 on a shotgun, and a couple of the buckmaster 4.5-14's on a couple rifles. I was fairly happy with them, so I decided to purchase some monarch's for a couple varmint rifles I have. All I can say is that they were the biggest mistake I have ever made optically. I sold them at a large loss and replaced them with Leupold VX3's. If you're looking at spending that much money I would look for a nice used Leupold 3.5-10, 4-12, or 6-18 in the VXII line and up. If you're fixed on the side focus it's gonna cost a little more. Just my humble .02

What I have learned in the past couple of years is Theres alot of well made scopes that are being made in the Philippines, I wouldn,t
purchase one if it's made in china even if its 100 bucks less. I would find a scope with the reticle you like the best and made in philippines
with the price you are able to spend on it, I have a couple of Nikon BDC, Prostaffs and Monarchs 3-9 and 4-12, 4-16 and the Monarch
3-9x40 BDC that I have on my 93 .22 mag is a perfect fit for that rifle, that then I,m using a Vortex diamondback on my CZ .223 is the
perfect fit for that one for me.
