I would go with this trigger. I had one on an older rifle and it was great

I have owned a lake field 93m 22 magnum since new( 1995) the only year made. It is basically a savage rifle I believe. The trigger pull is terrible on it. My question is there a compatible savage trigger that I can replace it with? We tried filing the burrs down and clean it up but this just reduced the pull slightly. I like the little rifle but the trigger really sucks. Any help appreciated.

You might try shimming the trigger before giving up on it.
Does the SAV-R fit the Lakefields ? I have a 93-ish Lakefield 91-TR. The trigger assembly looks almost exactly the same.Originally Posted by strawboss38679
Just wondering if it'll work before spending the $85. Strawboss, what Lakefield did you install the SAV-R in ?
Sent an email to Rifle Basix asking about the compatibility of bolt Lakefields & the RB triggers.
Clay replied that if I get a SAV_R and it doesn't fit I could return it for refund.
Can't ask for more than that.
I have a RB trigger on my Stevens 200 and it's very, very nice.
If you decide to try the RB, email them to confirm you can return it doesn't work for you, just so you have a record of the offer.
