    220f Youth Model

Just noticed on Savage's web site that they now have a 220F slug gun in a youth model, with a 1 inch shorter length of pull.

That is a good idea. I have a 220F and I really like it, but probably I would have bought the youth model had it been available. The shorter LOP is nice not just for kids but for heavily bundled adults in the cold.

I really would like to see Savage start making some 220F's with a laminated or wood stock. Wonder if there is any plan for that.

    Hey Dennis,

Where did you find the LoP specs for the 220F and 220F youth?
I have been all over Savage's website looking for these specifications.
Would you please post a link to the data?

    Thanks,
    jb

I don't have the exact LOP numbers, but here is what I know. Both the original 220F and the youth model have 22 inch barrels. Total length of the original 220f is 44.75 inches. The total length of the youth model is 43.75 inches. Since the barrel length is identical, the 1 inch difference must be in the LOP.
