Question for anybody with a Bell & Carlson A2 Medalist

If you've got a Savage in a BC A2 Medalist stock, could you throw a set of calipers on the forearm above the blocky "wing" and tell me how wide it is there?

    Thanks in advance!

I have one on a sa 4.25" screw spread and its 1-3/4" at the back of the barrel nut and 1-1/2" at the front tip.

I would have thought it would be a bit wider than 1.5" at the top/tip of the forearm...thanks for measuring!

Does sound narrow now that you say it. I will check again when I get home. I have a varmint contour barrel and theres not much space around it. Definitely no room for a bull.

It is 1-1/2" at the front tip, just remeasured.

I have 3 of them with small shank bulls thats free floated rather well. No issues with them. In fact a friend has one on a Remington with a straight 1 1/4" barrel. It's rather thin but doable.

The one below my name is a straight McGowen 223 and I think it is 1 1/8 at the muzzle. I had to sand the barrel channel out for it but it worked great.

Oops I should clarify. No bull as is (without sanding) is what I meant. Could be opened up. Sorry.
