    My 11/12 22-250

It started life as an 11FNS, with that wispy straw barrel and Tupperware stock it was NO fun to shoot!, I picked up the model 12 takeoff barrel and the Boyds Varmint Thumbhole stock and with the large SS bolt handle, trigger guard and recoil lug that made the most of it, the economy Bushnell scope in Millet Mangle Locs has been on it since day one, I figured I'd spend some $$ on a good scope and rings when they failed?, they still stay on target!?? and I picked up the Ruger bipod for $32 at the gun show last fall, pillars and bedding are needed, then it'll be done.
    Here's the crappy pics,

That turned out great! Really like the color of the stock.

Love a scope that hugs the barrel like that. Purdy gun! I bet that scope is great for low light. Which bushnell is it?

It's the 6-18x50AO "Banner", not to bad for as inexpensive as it was, I wasn't sure if it was going to hit the barrel or not when I put it back together!??, but it clears by about .020"

    Nice looking stick.

Kinda surprised the factory writing on the newer barrel lined up properly being headspaced on a different action. In all the barrels I've swapped I can't remember that happening.

This is the first one I've ever done, I screwed the barrel in against the go gauge and "felt" it several times, torqued the nut down, and that's where it was, I kind of wondered how it would line up?, a .003" shim in the bolt face with the "go" gauge and the bolt refuses to close!, factory ammo chambers from easy to you can just feel some resistance?, my hand loads all chamber easily, I got a neck sizing die for it but haven't loaded any ammo for it yet, I can get 1/2" groups out of it, I think that will improve when I bed it?, and as I said I'll make some pillars for it too.

I had 4 aftermarket barrels line up. I think as long as it is a similar action the headspacing will be the same.

Actually the "ROYAL JACARANDA" was my second choice?, I wanted it in the "ROYAL" (Violet/Black) laminate, that wasn't an option at the time when I ordered the stock, I even emailed them and asked for it!??, then shortly after I got the stock they made it an option?
But it did turn out nice!, it slipped my mind till just now, the LOP is kinda SHORT!?, they must have figured it for a guy hunting coyotes in January?, with enough thermal wear on to keep himself warm in -20* weather!??, it may get some thickazz but pad slapped on there too??
