    Stainless DBM Part Numbers

I just ordered a stainless DMB bottom support metal and stainless magazine from Savage. My 6.5 Creedmoor model 16 came all stainless except for the plastic DBM frame and magazine. Since I have been shooting my 10TR with metal DBM, I really love the better quality of the metal magazines.

So I called Savage: Parts in stainless are from the Weather Warrior

Frame assy black metal: #107325 $78
Frame assy Stainless metal: #106705 $86

    Stainless DBM magazine: #55109 $60

I screwed up and didn't get the Stainless trigger.

Are the 116 triggers really stainless now or just silver in color? I love my 116s but I know on the pre accutrigger models the ones I have are silver in color but will rust at the drop of a hat. Never could understand how a rifle billed as the "Weather Warrior" left the factory with what appears to be basically a silver colored pot metal or really poorly cast trigger.

Can't answer your question on the 116s. But my model 16 staggered feed 223 came with a real stainless trigger guard. Kind of dull, I polished it to beautiful. Final polishing was using 4000 grit sandpaper and water. No rust.

I was worried because the weather warrior also comes with the hinged floor-plate and the detachable 4 round magazine. second call I confirmed the number was for the DBM and not the hinged floor-plate.

Yeah my trigger guard is stainless and no problem there but the trigger itself is kinda ugggh. Not sure what it's made of but it doesn't exactly scream quality. This is a part that may actually come into contact with a sweaty finger and some rust resistance on an otherwise stellar rifle would be nice.
