    berger vs. hornady a-max moly


    Dont both of these bullets have pretty much the same design. couldnt you use the 162gr. hornady and get same results?

    The design between the bullets from bullet makers are different. Your question is way too vague.

    Slightly different bullet ogive shapes from manufacturer to manufacturer changes the cartridge overall length to the lands altering velocities and chamber pressure. If you use the book seating depth for a listed bullet and substitute another bullet you could change the pressure to an unsafe level.
