FYI - WS2/Danzac

The 338 RUM that I build for my hunting buddy had it's first borescope checkup at 1000 rounds down the 32" stainless Rock Creek barrel. Dr. Borescope said everything is fine and continue to shoot! All but the first 15 bullets have been coated with WS2/Danzac. The 300 gr SMK's are launched at 2950 fps, so, as you can guess, there is close to 100 grains of powder in the case. Barrel has been abused as well. Sometimes, as many as 20 shots in a short amount of time during practice or extremem long distance when shooting in the the windy sandhills of Nebraska. To date, the longest deer harvested with this rifle is 1868 yards.

My 223 AI that I use to shoot in the field the most, has over 2K rounds down the tube and still very accurate as well.

    +1 to that

Since discovering WS2, I have put nothing down any of my barrels without it. Now, I've discovered HBN, but it has not warmed up enough to go to the range since, so I can not compare it's results to WS2. Some day, this miserable winter will end. The first snow of the season is still on the ground beneath all the subsequent snows we've gotten because it never gets warm enough for any of them to melt until spring.

In Theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In Practice, there is.

Geez.........I'm so glad I'm a transplanted yankee in the south. We've had some colder than normal weather but at least I can still shoot and don't have to wade through knee deep snow any more like I did in Wisconsin.
