Savage PTA stock for "regular" short action?

    Have a line on a stock built for a 4.41" 3-screw target action...Precision Target Action, I believe?

Since the target action is single shot, the stock I'm looking at is for single shot too. I'm thinking of having the stock inletted for a DBM system and using it with a "regular" centerfeed short action.

    Any reason this wouldn't work?

Sure should work. People have used the PTA stocks with regular 4.40 actions and a SSS follower before, not me personally but I've seen it done here a couple of times.
