    Paddle bolt handle?

Has anyone tried grinding a stock, standard bolt handle down to make it into a paddle type handle? I know Mr. Furious did it on his Axis build but it seems like I read somewhere that the 10/110 had a hollow area inside of the ball? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This weekend I ground down the ball on a Savage bolt knob to thread it for a EGW bolt knob and there was indeed a hollow center. I was still able to cut the threads but making a paddle style might be hit or miss depending how big the void is.

I would probably never do this but possibly shape a void in the handle out of epoxy. There was another contributor on her that did that. My style is different than his but he put effort into it and that scores points right.
