Woo Hoo! Way to go!
I built a 260 off of a Win 300 mag LA a while ago. Mounted it to a SSS stock with a Shilen barrel I got off of Jim Briggs at NSS. It's was difficult to tune for a while there, trying many different powders and bullets. Finally stabilized on H4350 and both 120 and 140g SMK's. Well this morning, everything came together. I had it benched on a rest and rear bag. I must have done something right because I finally achieved the holy grail - I put three shots into the same hole! I've come close before, but this morning for whatever reason, it all fell into place. I knew that if I shot 37,525,215 three shot groups eventually the law of averages whould finally work in my favor! Just wanted to brag as it's never happened before. Now the problem is finding H4350 powder - tried 6 LGS's and not one had any! ****.....
Woo Hoo! Way to go!
congrates.
It does indeed feel great when youre hard work pays off.
I read several other threads of the accuracy of the 260.
sure hope you find your powder. aint no fun finding the holy grail of loads only to not be able to reproduce it because of the lack of components.

Congrats! That is a goal we all strive for. I have put two in the same hole twice but on both occasions got excited and pulled the 3rd.
Where you shooting in Pa.?

"...shall not be infringed" What's the confusion?
This was at the Bucks County Fish and Game Assoc. in Doylestown. I also shoot at Ontalaunee up in New Tripoli when I want to go out to 300 yards. I wish there were something closer to BCF&G but so far I haven't found it. Supposed to be a range in Quakertown but can't seem to find it - if anyone knows the name or contact, please pm me and let me know.
Yup - it sure does feel good! I'm sure I'll find the powder somewhere - it's only a matter of time.
Stay well all......
Did you try Beikirch Hunter Supply in Knoxville? I was over there yesterday and could swear I saw a pound on the shelf.
They actually had a pound of Varget and I had it in my hand and asked if they had the big kegs of powder and gave them back the Varget and took a 5 pound jug of Reloader 15.
No LR primers there yet.
Sorry mugsie, the store I mentioned looks to be like a 8 hour round trip for you, P.A. is a big state.
