I cleaned up the "glop" with a dremel after the pic's were taken. Just make sure you don't have any bedding under the recoil lug. Put a few pieces of tape under the recoil lug.

    I hope this helps.

Thank's for the pic's. Did you remove any material where you bedded or just left it alone ??

You need to put in grooves on the sides so the epoxy will have something other then slick plastic to grip.

I understand the roughing up or grooves, just wondering if you have to remove any material like you wood on a wood stock.

I took a small Dremel grind wheel to the sides where the Davcon (peanut butter consistency kind) and roughed up the sides. I also took a small drill bit and made some shallow holes for the Davcon to flow into for additional hold.

I removed some of the plastic so the Davcon would "stick" to the stock, and yet allow the barrel to seat on the solid Davcon. So....to answer your question, YES, I did remove some of the stock material so I could have at least 3/8" of Davcon material from the barrel to the factory stock.
