    Jewell trigger for savage


    Did Jewell ever make a trigger for savage centerfires?

    Jewell was in the process of developing one about 10 years ago, but then Savage came out with the AccuTrigger. He didn't want to have to offer two versions or redesign his existing one to ensure it would be compatible with AccuTrigger guns so he just 86'd the idea and left the market to SSS, Rifle Basix and Timney. I think a few proto-types made it out into the hands of competitive shooters for testing/evaluation, but nothing more ever came of it.
