    Savage 112.. same action as the 110?


    Got offered a Savage 112 in trade. I believe thats the same action as the 110 right? Same pressed recoil lug, standard 3 screw trigger, just heavier barrel profile?

    It may have a better finish on the action and barrel as well.

    That's the thing with Savage, the finish is hit or miss. I've seen 2 30-06 rifles sitting right next to 2 .270's and the .270's were high polished and the 30-06's were dull matte, the same package model guns. They got them in the same time. I had a Stevens 30-06 that was high polished, I should have kept that one.
