    Mcree question

I am looking for a stock for my creedmoor that was built off a 4.4" center feed bottom bolt release action. I wanted a mcree, but on there site it says they are for top release actions only. as I searched on this forum a lot of what I was reading was there is not really any difference in the top release and bottom release stocks other than the trigger guard. so can any one tell me why the mcree stocks are not for bottom release actions

Do you mean the bolt release on the side vs the trigger area? If so there is a thread here on how to mod the rifle from the bottom to the side.

Suprisingly the bottom release stocks are narrower on the right side of the action. Having a topside reease stock is not an issue. There is a monor difference in the rear pillar area but if causes a clearance issue I would think the discriminate use of a dremel would be the ticket.
