    Anyone shooting prarie dogs in winner SD or the Rosebud?


    Just wondering how the PD populations are in and around winner?

    Yes don't waste your time unless you have a bunch of money to pay for Indian ground. South Dakota like a lot of the other states have been hit by the plaque hard this year. Ranchers are tired of them and with dealing with trying to do the hunting them thing so the ones that didnt get the plaque got poisoned this year hard. We drove 900 miles to the same area and shot maybe a grand total of 2-300 rounds combined for 3 guys. The outfitters want to charge you an arm and a leg to kill them so if you have any contacts for cheap please share because we will probably not be making the trip again anytime soon

    I'm from Pierre sd, they have been hit by the plague but are still there. I don't shoot them as much as I should living right here. I guess it depends how far you wanna travel to shot them and if it's worth it. Lots of them still on the reservations though
