Cub or Mark I for an 8 year old

Looking to get my 8 year old his first .22 and wonder what the better choice would be. Would the cub be too small?

The cub might be to small, but your child will grow. You might look into a MK youth and when he is older you can get a bigger stock. Or get both. A rifle like a Cub is nice to have around in case another smaller child wants to shoot.

I think the Cub is a perfect first .22 for a youngster. My son didn't outgrow it until last year....at age 11. Just moved him into a full sized rifle this fall. I really like the fact that the Cub is a single shot.....and the Accutrigger is a nice feature as well.
