    Scope ideas

    Hey gang,
I just joined here cause I have a Model 12FV .223 on the way. My goal is to shoot our 500 meter silhouette range here. What have any of you found that work particularly good in this application? I am a new long gun shooter, and have a lot to learn... A LOT!
Oh yeah... I am going to be on a budget for this first scope, while I save for a really good one. So $200- $300 is my range for now.
    Thanks

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

SWFA Super Sniper 10x fixed has a reputation for having great glass and repeatability in this price range.

I have found the Leupold Mark AR to be a great matchup for most anything in .223

pls stay away from pentax, very bad exit pupil and clarity is bad from my experience. I would suggest going with the vortex route.

You would be talking of the Gameseeker not the Lightseeker. The Lightseeker is nice. Like the Vortex Crossfire compared to the Vortex HS series.

+1 on the Higher end Pentax scopes, Darn good glass.
I think the Gameseekers gave em a bit of a black eye sorta like the Crossfires did for Vortex.
