Anyone besides me waiting for savage to bring this on out? I would even take a .22lr/20ga.

Do yourself a favor, get on Gunbroker or head to a gunshow to find yourself an older Model 24. A good clean Model 24 will cost you a little more money, but you'll get a much better gun and it won't loose 1/2 it's value as soon as you walk out of the gunshop with it. The old Model 24's are one of the few Savage models that has become collectable but you can still buy them for $300 to $500 all day long.

Yes I am still waiting. I also would take a .22lr/20 gauge. I see that there is indeed a Chiappa available in that configuration with changeable chokes, but I was hoping that Savage would do something similar. I do agree that the quality of these type guns seems to be low and quite entry level, but I would give it rough use anyway as a woods small game hunter.
