    SSS Trigger

I recently installed an SSS Comp. Trigger on an older 110. I am experiencing slam fires when closing the bolt. Not on every round, but one is tooooo many. Obviously, I have something out of adjustment. Looking for direction from folks with first hand knowledge of the SSS system. Thanks in advance for the replys.

Sounds like you have the trigger weight set too low. I'd start there.

    One of two things:
Not enough sear engagement (this also happens to be the trigger pull "weight" adjustment- the return spring adjustment actually does little to adjust pull weight.)
    Or
Check to make sure the screw that secures the trigger assembly to the trigger bracket isn't too tight. It puts a bind on the trigger and the trigger may not return properly.

Check to be sure the trigger assembly isn't touching the stock.

Mine was doing the same thing. The quick fix is as already been said: adjust the trigger to a heavier weight.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
