    Savage Classic Series - is the black forend peice hollow?


    I'm thinking of installing a heavier barrel already on my brand new model 14 American classic. Is the black for end piece hollow as I would be required to widen the the barrel channel and the black piece would require some sanding as well.

    Hollow? no should be solid.
