    Re: LRPV Stock Question

I JUST READ A THREAD YESTERDAY,THAT IT IS GLUED ON.I RECENTLY SANDED MINE AND PAINTED IT,BUT TAPED OFF THE PAD,FOR PAINTING.Once you remove it,you would need to glue in some wood,if you intend to screw it on.I dont know what product would work best ,to glue it back on.

well i just got it off and the old pad is no longer useable, it broke into a bunch of pieces.
gonna add some weight to the back of the rifle so i can balance it out a bit

    Re: LRPV Stock Question

Since you have it off,for a weight increase, you might as well sand and paint it.I removed the swivel studs, seald them with bondo (not as good as some other material),sanded smooth, primed, painted, and clear coated.Rides the bags much better, and feels better ad well as looks.I used shake can Dup-a-color, in auto store. The gun was too heavy to want swivels to carry, and I don't use a detacable bi-pod.
