Most .30 calibers are 5/8x24.
What is the most common or standard muzzle break thread pattern?
Most .30 calibers are 5/8x24.
.224 cals and smaller are normally 1/2-28
24 cal to .284 cals are often 5/8-24 but there are some 9/16-24's out there
30 cal is normally 5/8-24
and above 30 cal is still often 5/8-24 and there are some 3/4-20's out there. I have used 5/8-24 up to .458 cal diameter and worked great.
Savage uses 9/16-28 on their "on/off" adjustable muzzle brakes but for its other non-adjustable brakes uses 1/2-28 and 5/8-24 respectively.
Hope that helps some.

Thanks for the info. I was looking for the on-off Savage brake, but threads are all wrong
