My guy here in N GA has plenty of varget and most other powders. Very few small rifle primers though so he's doling those out as needed.

Hard to find Varget in Middle Georgia. I stocked up on four pounds a few months ago whan a local shop got some in so I'm sitting good for a little while.

Thanks for the heads up on Varget Rstove02, snatched up a keg of it along with Rl 15 and some N135! Haven't seen those all in stock for some time, and at good prices.

I know where there is some Varget at as well as CCI 200 primers. If anyone is still looking for some let me know i will shoot you the contact information for the shop that has it.
it is still pretty rare, went to the national matches today at perry and didn't see one bottle of it, saw lots of powder/bullets/primers, but no varget.
God still loves you, yep even on them days....
Never had any luck with Varget anyhow, I prefer Rel15 over Varget anyday. I found lots of it but left it set there, some poor sucker will eventually get it.Originally Posted by pdog06

Went to my local store in Yardville NJ to get a new sling for my muzzle loader. I asked the guy helping me if they got any powder. I told him I was looking for BL-c2 he came out of the back and said all I have is this Varget, never heard of it but the can says its for 308. I said thats the hardest powder to find and bought 2 lbs.. I still have 2lbs of blc-2 but like the guy said, if you find it online you will only get 1lb for the cost of 2... Dam hazmat!!!
Guess you got to strike while the iron is hot!!!
Waldo's in Columbia Ms has Varget for around 25/lb. They said they had plenty of it.
Local range has it now (they carry quite a few powders and hve them in stock again - no RL15 or N133 though). Prices are in line with most, but they are really off base with primers - Charging 64.99/1000 for all benchrest style primers (Fed205, CCI BR4, Rem 71/2 >
Just got a call from a friend who is at the Cabelas in Hamburg, Pa. They have 8- 1lb bottles of Varget on the shelf at $23.99 each!. He gave me a courtesy call to see if I wanted any, so now I'm getting 4 bottles and he is getting the other 4 bottles ;D.
Should hold me over for a while.

One of the local shops finally had ONE 8 lb jug last time I went in. The price had climbed to $189.xx-ouch.
They used to get around 140 for a jug if memory serves. No 1 lb cans though.
Just loaded up my last pound of Varget. Wanted to use up that powder while fireforming brass to AI since it hasnt been a very good powder in my other rifles anyhow. I woulda gladly swapped someone for a pound of rel15 but, its gone now. :-\
wow? the best luck i have had has been with varget. it would be cool to review reloading notes? all of us might learn something? but r15 is a great powder. it has worked for me. let me know what you think?? 8) dd
i just started using varget in my 308 and was told it changes from lot to lot (not consistant) i'm on my 2nd 1lb can so far its giving me good groups
Cabelas in Buda Texas has it stocked.
I make sure that I always have some "extra" I have about 4 1lb, and 3 IMR 4350, haven't really found a reason for anything else. i'll check locally aswell.. I'll let you know.
sportsman den in shelby ohio had 8#'s at $129, and had 1#'s toooooo.

www.brunoshooters.com claims to have it @ $150/8#
I'm paying $35 per 1# of Varget. Local dealer was out for a while, now he's got a healthy supply again... BLC-2 is my next pet powder.
