    Savage Predator/HogHunter in 250Savage

Why has Savage never seen to build such a handy little beast instead insisting on chambering it in the more up-market models only! A stout but short 22" barrel seems better suited to the 250Savage than the 243Winchester in the Predator Hunter Brush models.

Think I may have to build myself one on a Stevens 200 ... just after I get my 300Savage chambered barrel back.

Has anyone built a 'stout' barrelled 250Savage? From the inline magazine boxes, will both 308 and 22/250 boxes feed equally well? Did it match your expectations?
    Cheers...

I always thought the .250 Savage would be best light rifle chambering one could ask for. I have 20 inch .300 Savage barrel on my Stevens 200 and love it.

I built a 250. 0n a Stevens la, put a single shot adapter in it, using a 18" hv douglas barrel and one of Stocky's thumbhole stocks. Not light weight by any means but it shoots like a laser beam, using either 90 or 100gr. Sierra bullets.
