    Older Savage Rifles - ?

Hello all - new here and from reading past postings, I'm already glad I found you!
I have two rifles that I have been trying to date. The first is a Savage Sporter 23AA srl# 137XXX .22LR magazine fed - the only info I have been able to find is a manufacture date of between 1933 - 1942; is that as accurate as I'm gonna get? Can someone send me in the correct direction for more info? One good thing is I did find that there are 10 shot mags available; anyone have a favorite place to purchase these?
The second Savage is actually a Savage/Anschutz Mark 12 srl# D621XXX .22LR single shot - the research here has been a little more confusing....
Any feedback greatly appreciated - greatly!

The second one was made in 1980.

Not sure on the model 23's though.
    Savage- "never say never".

Thanks for the year on the Mark 12 - I'm 50% closer!
