Savage 93R17 Magazine feed problem

Hi all,

I have a pre-Accutrigger 17HMR that is having feed issues. It has no problems with the last couple rounds but the first few I have to hold up on the bottom of the mag to get them to feed into the chamber rather than hitting below it. Any Ideas on how to fix it? Has anyone else had this problem?

Has no one else had this problem? It doesn't make the gun unusable but it is very annoying.

I had the same issue with a new one (93R17BTVS). Wrote Savage a letter asking for help, they sent an owners manual. I opened the lips, on the magizine, a touch. Still acts up but not as much.

Your clip is faulty. Get a new one. I had the same problem on a 22LR Mako. The new clip
fixed everything.

Try installing your loaded magazine with the bolt open. Worked for me.
