    Axis Action screw tension

    Hi forum,

Is there a set tension for the 2 screws that hold the action to the stock? And is there a order to do them up... eg front first etc..

    Thanks
    Shane

I noticed the plastic "Flex-O-Matic 500" stock is never flat, level, true, plumb, etc....
I always run both screws down until they almost start to snug up, then tighten the forward screw holding downward pressure against the recoil lug, then tighten up the rear screw.

How tight? Just tight enough to hold everything together. Too tight & you may not get them loose again. Snuggly tight with a little light duty Loctite works, too...
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
