#12FV mag question

My buddy is looking at a #12FV .223 as an entrance rifle to mid range F Class. We were checking one out and I don't understand something.... how do you load the centerfeed blind box mag? Do you just push the rounds down in, like an AR mag?
I have a #10 .223 with DBM and I know I have to feed rounds into the mag from the front, although I've never tried loading the mag AR style.
Also, the entire mag box was loose inside the stock. I could move it left/right with my finger about 1/8". Normal??

AR style, works on you DBM as well.

+1. Straight down through the top. Some mags a bit stiff, but they will break in.
