Here she is! Came in yesterday...topped it with a NightForce NSX 8-32x56 day optic, held by Trijicon intermediate rings. Using the factory EGW rail for now. I believe its a 20MOA rail? I havent measured it. Also installed a Harris 6-9 bipod. So not just waiting on the last of my reloading supplies. Have the dies, powder, and primers. So one that comes in...make some rounds and git 'er done!

hahaha i knew id get at least one guitar case comment...WIN. Once the weather gets less stupid in NE Ohio, i plan on getting to the range. Im also waiting on my reloading brass still.

@Orange_Crush: From what I have read on it, people are saying it's similar to shooting a suppressed .308. Not to much of a surprise considering the size of the brake and how nice the pad is on the back of the stock. I'll find out soon enough. Definitely going to be better than my non-braked 300 Rem Ultra Mag.
Man, that's a pretty rifle!!!! you'll really enjoy shooting it, with 250 grn and lower bullets I can watch my impatcts and with my 285 grn load I really have to load the bipod but it can be done....

I have the 111LRH in .338 LM and the recoil on it is very manageable, I put 50 rounds through mine in a 2 day period with no fatigue or shoulder bruising. After 15 rounds through my 110 BA .338 LM, I was bruised and tired.
Yeah the 110 FCP HS is similar to the 111...so hopefully the recoil is relatively close. All I can think about is "have good recoil management"Originally Posted by Bowtie

I'm in Florida a ways south of Crystal River.
No snow messing me up with shooting range trips.
Recoil is minimal with this rifle in .338 lapua, seems less than my 308 Remington 700. Standing anywhere other than behind the gun is a unpleasant experience. I have taken it to the range a few times as I develop loads and people are crying if they get the bench next to mine. I am shooting 300 grain Bergers and am getting groups of a half inch at 100 or less. Shot a 200 yard group of less than 1" last week.
I would get a Ken Farrell base with in 40 moa . They run about $120 shipped. The savage base on mine came loose twice but I have had the Farrell base out 4 times and is staying put. Even after retorqing the stock base it still came loose after 50 rounds. I will be selling the stock base soon. You may want to look at getting a custom base made with the nightforce as 110moa is the most their scopes have in elevation adjustment plus the holdover on the reticle so if you want to really get out there get at least a 40moa or get one custom built. My scope has 125 moa of elevation and I think I need another base ot get out to 2,500 yards.
got one identical with a NC Star scope.... (i know cheep glass got to save up for a vortex Leupold or Nightforce) recoil isnt bad at all my spoter was complaining more about the recoil then i was... from what ive heard the hornady match 285gr load is hard to beat... im trying some 300 gr Bergers i hear there suposed to work well... ill update when i test them out
Tried that load, not near as accurate as hand loaded rounds with Berger 300's. I am also finding that the lighter bullets have more recoil. The bergers are in one hole at 100.
I was miserable today, only 82 degrees here in Las Vegas. Best thing was no wind, so wind chill factor:).

Nice rig !!! Might need a longer guitar case though.Just out of curiosity where in N.E. Ohio is there a range long enough to let the legs out on that darling ( short of Camp Perry) ?? Was looking at the 110BA myself but with only a 200 yard range it's like driving a Ferrari in the parking lot.
US 869 at 104 grains. It is putting them in the same hole. I went with this powder for a little less pressure and a little more velocity. The rounds barely fit the magazine.

I am working on a coupe Nosler Accubond loads right now and will be testing them next week. Made the mistake of taking a friend to the range who whined the whole time. They are not as accurate as the bergers.
Accubond 250 grain at 108 grains US869. Unacceptable accuracy
300 grain Accubond at 104 grains of US 869. Not bad but needs improvement before I produce a bunch of these.
