Sweet rig! As I was reading your post and looking at the gun with no brake I was thinking
"This guy must be crazy to shoot that F*#!king thing without a brake!"
Would like to hear the range report when you shoot it (accuracy, velocity etc.)

17" Savage takeoff model 116 338 Win Mag barrel- sent to Benchmark barrels for a good lapping and re-chamber to 338 Edge.
Bolt fluting by Kampfeldt custom.
3X12 Burris handgun scope
I just put the finishing touches on my 17" 338 Edge this morning. Complete ready to shoot; 6 pounds 12 oz! Well almost- need to thread the barrel and screw the brake on. Weight includes the weight of the brake.

I have offered others the opportunity to shoot these things without brakes and I have never got a reply. Not sure why? Just do not understand it.
I know that I have had Ron fix other factory barrels ($50.) and they shot lights out much like the Benchmark barrels they make.
Here is a link of the 8 pound big brother also in the 338 Edge. Big brother is getting 2950 with the 225 grain and 19" barrel. Note: center grips have very little weight forward of the grip.
