is it worth buying this set up for a first rifle. Its on sale at big 5 for 399

Well mine is in .300 Winchester Magnum with out the accutrigger. The first 5 shots went in a group of .463" center to center. No 5 shot group fired has even touched the 1" mark. The only modification was to replace the cheap scope that came on the package deal.
I did not attempt to break in the BBL. as I was never going to keep it a .300 Win Mag. My plan was to use this as a donor action. Well that idea was scrapped after round #5.
This group was shot from the hood of my '90 Ford 4x4. It makes a portable bench rest for up here in NW Wyoming.
The bore is smooth and cleans in no more that 5 patches.
I will let you decide whether it is accurate enough or not.
Like someone said to me on here, NEVER, EVER shoot a donor Savage because you will never swap the barrles to what you think you wanted in the first place. He was right, LOL.
Dang it all, looks like I will have to buy another Savage for my project which WILL remain unfired till I am done!
