    Ejector Parts

My 223 build is based on 300 WSM action.

It did not have an extractor. I want to install an extractor so my question is what parts are needed?

My initial understanding is the following

Savage Arms Ejector Top Loading All Calibers http://www.midwayusa.com/product/117...g-all-calibers
Savage Arms Ejector Retaining Pin Top Loading All Calibers http://www.midwayusa.com/product/782...g-all-calibers
Savage Arms Ejector Spring Top Loading All Calibers http://www.midwayusa.com/product/194...g-all-calibers

I assume this is all based on the NEW .378 bolt head as well, correct?

    :)

Yes, I did put in a 223 bolt head. The WSM bolt head is sitting on my desk for when I decide to do a mag bolt head build in the future.

All the parts you have listed are for the ejector, which is not a bad idea to have as spares
If you want the extractor parts you will need the extractor, detent ball and spring

    Here are midway links

Changing from WSM to .223 you will also need a regular length firing pin. The WSM pins are longer.

Hmm. I title it ejector (which is what I need) and then I say extractor...

    Sorry for the confusion

This build is done (actually been done for months). We just never put the extractor in place. I'm about to order an XLR chassis for this build so an extractor is a necessity :D
