    floating barrel?

dear members i just bedded my savage 110 in a wood stock with some p7 epoxy putty. in doing the searches on bedding i went ahead and bedded the reciever just before or shy of the rear tang, i took some of the wood out and also drille the holes for the bedding to stick. my question is my barrel i can run a credit card mabe 2 thick from the muzzel all the way to about 1 1/2" in front of the recoil lug do i need to remove some of the bedding to be able to run the credit card all the way up to the recoil lug?

Try shooting it first before changing anything, accuracy might be spot on. As a matter of routine though, I float mine back to the recoil lug.

I bed to underneath the chamber on mine. I can run a dollar bill up to about 2" from the barrel lug.
