Firing pin/spring takedown and reassembly question

Ordered up a spare firing pin and a Wolff 32lb spring for my 110 LA.I put Wolff in all my guns they make springs for and figured the stouter 32lb'r would shorten up lock time a bit.Found the Switchbarrel tutorial but it gets vague to both my functioning brain cells as to the re-assembly/adj. procedure for pin protrusion etc.If anyone here has a link or the time to walk me through the process it would be much appreciated.Pictures would be a blessing and certainly up the probably of first time together happy dance. As always, thanks to all in the nut house gang....Old Grumpy Bark

Re: Firing pin/spring takedown and reassembly question

I use Wolf springs in my pistols, but I would not use one in a Savage rifle. First, Savage has one of the fastest lock times of any rifle made. A heavier spring is only going to make bolt lift heavier, and one of the biggest complaints of Savage owners is the heavy bolt lift. If you still feel the need to change the spring you need to look no farther than this site's FAQs section.
