Cheek rest recommendations

I've decided to order a Savage Axis SR 308 from my local FFL, and anticipate I'll need a cheek rest to get a decent cheek weld (I use a scope).

For those who have experience with the Axis synthetic stock, which would you recommend?

The solid type (screws onto the top of the stock):


Or the hoop type (screws into the sides of the stock):


I'm not interested in a strap-on type.
