    Stevens 200 stock

Since I have sex changed my 243 over to a 223, I am going to eliminate the magizine box. The question is do I need to leave the small L-shaped bracket that helps hold the mag to the stock or can I take it out also ???

you need something there cause it goes between the action and the pillar. If you leave it out there will be a gap and you could damage the threads in the action by trying to get it tight. It'll just have that mushy feeling when you tighten it.

You could just glue it in with a dab of crazy glue, or find a small washer of the same thickness to replace it with.

thanks for the reply dog. ALSO has anyone bedded the tupperware stock or would it be a waste of time ? I may try it just to get some practice.

I did one. It is great to use for practice, and does help a little, but still isnt near as good as an aftermarket stock. I also stiffened the forearm by bedding in a pc of bar stock, which helped it some too.

I'd still rather have a Duramax though.
