I am 72 and that's not your old savages. I was never a fan of savege till about a year ago when I first got my Savave F class 6BR. All the other rifle makers are going to have to go a long way to compete with Savage. Lou

I have a Savage F/TR in .308 and would like to know his load data? I guess he was using the 155 Berger or the 168 Berger VLDs and probably 45 grains or so of Varget? I have just starting playing with mine and it is showing great promise with RL15 and 168 SMKs. It is great to see that sort of precision shooting with a Savage.

Assuming that the barrel length was 26" or better, in a .308 the 155g Berger VLD would probably be close to subsonic at 1200. I'm guessing the went with the 168 VLD. Be nice to know what the load was. In any event that was good shooting. ::)

Yes balljoint, that is a sinclair rest. I want one. That is the new model rifle, the palma you mentioned. I couldn't think of the name for it. I love that adjustable check piece.
