i would like to know what kind of plastic is used on the axis stock also does epoxy bond well with this type of plastic... also can you sand epoxy like fiberglass..... gonna due some serious hacking on that axis stock and install/ mate an ar15 magpul stock to it....... check out this fitting i foundall we can do at this time is modify the stock.....

Ive had no problems with epoxy. As Frank said, Scuff it up and make sure its clean (acetone/ denatured alcohol). Good luck! love to see that thing when its done. are you planning on using a Magpul MOE stock? I have on on my AR-15 and its awesome!

not quite a magpul moe... gonna use this onemay get another style later so keeping it fairly cheap while i try yo build this unit... also i picked this one because it has a rubber recoil instead of a spring it will be used on a 30-06 i will set some quarter inch thick short screws in certain key spots for the epoxy to wrap around for recoil

1) It puts the force 3" above the stock.
2) you don't have a good grip on the fire arm.
3) there is still a big recoil tube that will smack you in the face, while trying to look down the sights.
Now... using that adapter to fit an AR stock to a Savage... that will be OK.
I am not a gun expert but does a .223 have a lot off recoil? have not shot mine yet.....
somebody is making money off it......that extension pole at top is optional.. that is what the company had on display ..I would probably put a cheek rest on it...just an idea ...the fitting actually comes with a plug to put where you removed the buffer pipe

If you haven't pulled the trigger yet on your 223... then there will be more of a kick than you would expect. In an AR... with a gas system... it sucks up most of it. In a bolt... it all goes back to you.
With that said... I let my 6 year old fire mine. She fired 2 rds before saying... "Daddy, this one hurts." (lol) So, she went back to the 22 Marlin.
But, like I said before... I think grafting that adapter into the savage stock may be cool.
i have a colt ar .223 but the savage guns are 30-06 axis and 308 12 bvss i know im gonna get some kick out of those units that is why i will make every effort to really concentrate on making that buffer tube adapter solid as a rock to that savage axis stock will be thinking of all parameters of stress it must handle...... then i will tackle the forendshotgun stock and some steel runners maybe 1/2x8 inchs by 3/16 thick bolted 2 inches in from recoil nut through a shotgun forearm and let it free float of course
