Re: Factory walnut stocks available from Numrich!

Buyer beware. I ordered a left handed stock from Numrich. I have a 12FLV and their site said they had 110 unfinished stocks in SHORT ACTION. They shipped me a RIGHT handed, LONG action stock that has "110R" stamped in the cheek rest. I just learned on this site that the 3 digit models are ALL long action and 2 digit models are short action. There site lists many stocks that claims they fit both 2 and 3 digit models. (10/110 for example).

Now I gotta send the durned thing back. I could have modified a right handed stock if it fit my action.

I understand the difficulty when you get something that doesn't come "as advertised". But I do want people to know that I ordered one of the right hand walnut with detachable mag and I'm VERY happy with it. It is nicely finished (although I intend to make it nicer with some linseed oil) and it fits perfectly. The limbsaver model 10601 prefit recoil pad is about as close as you'll find to a perfect fit for an aftermarket recoil pad.

I'll try to get pictures of the actual stocks and figure out how to post them.

I bought one for my 111 with a detachable mag and everything seemed to fit just fine. If you have the detachable mag with a synthetic stock you will need to pick up a floorplate for it. The plastic floorplate I got was $4.00 from brownells.

No problem, I'll explain. The stock is inletted for a floorplate that surrounds the area where the DBM is inserted through the stock. It seems to protect the area pretty well.
