Thumbs Up Savage 10 Firing Pin

Can anyone please post a photo of their firing pin pretruding bolt face for me? I broke a firing pin somehow and am trying to get it adjusted to be close to factory setting. I saw the FAQ on how to adjust it and all but needing some visual reference

    Does this look about right.........

    Thanks.

Its hard to tell by you pic, but it looks a little long. Set it to .030"-.035".

If it fires everythime it looks right to me. If not borrow some dial calipers or depth mic's and set it correctly.

Factory setting is .050-.060. For some reason, people choose to drop that down by a good bit, to like .035-.045. I think they think that doing so will give the firing pin more time to accelerate faster and strike the primer harder instead of "deeper". Guess it makes sense as it only takes about .020 of indentation to fire a primer.
You look to be about .048-.052. I say you're good. I run mine at .055-.060 without issue.
