Hi everyone. I just checked this 110 again. It actually isn't that stiff. I can open the action with my thumb. For some reason I thought it was much harder to do. Sorry for the useless post.
I have an older 110 in 30 06 before the accutrigger came out. Probably 10-15 years old. I have always noticed that after firing, opening the action is pretty stiff. I realize that it is a cock on open design so opening the action is cocking the firing pin so I always assumed this was normal....so is it normal too be stiff?

What you need to do is dry fire it without a round chambered and then cycle the bolt. If it is just as hard as when you actuall fire a round you probably just have to clean the lug area in the receiver and rebuild/clean/grease your bolt assembly. If it is not as hard as when you fire a round then it is likely a headspace issue or you're running too hot of a load or you need to bump the shoulder back on your brass next time you resize it(assuming you reload).
Or you could just put a bolt lift kit in it.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
or a 1/2 inch longer bolt handle for more leverage.
