    Barrel lettering not lining up

I saw this post some where but I cannot find it. Anyway as I am waiting for a go gauge to arrive I screwed my new barrel into the receiver with a peice of resized brass in it bolt closed , stopped when it got snug just by looking it looks like lettering on the barrel is going to be inside the stock. Is this a problem ?
Also if you are using tape on a piece of brass which end does it go on ? Just asking.
Sorry about all the dumb questions but this is my first build.

The lettering is not a problem and the tape goes on the primer end of the case.

The original lettering was roll stamped onto that barrel after it was assembled. Once removed and transferred to a different action, due to slight action length or slightly different bolt face dimensions from action to action, the letters will more than likely not line up. Also put the tape on the base of the brass where it contacts the face of the bolthead.

No question is dumb if you truely don't know the anwser, so by all means ask away. That's why we're here.
