    Criterion barrels are they +5?


    So went to a local gunsmith today to have him headspace my new savage build (Criterion barrel, varmint, .308 from Northland). Being pretty new I'm learning a lot during this build. He asked me if the barrel was finished, which I thought they were. He then went to talk about if it was +5 barrel he would need to ream it etc. Got a little bit lost as English wasn't his first language.

    So my question is are Criterion barrels finished? or do they need to be reamed?

    If it's a pre-fit then it's fully finished, ready to install. No need to ream.

    Awesome. That is what I thought but wanted to double check.
