Yes...they're on about 50% of the models.
Has anyone ever seen this a Hollow BAS.

Wow I have never seen one, out of the 100 or so that I have taken apart, some one I sent a "bolt lift kit" sent me a PM saying that's what he had, so is there any way to make it work?

Any gun with the newer bolt release by the trigger guard will have one. The firing pin on these guns has a tail that protrudes through the BAS to act as a cocking indicator. Pretty much the same as an Axis or 220 slug gun, and more likely than not it will be how all 110's will be in the very near future as it saves Savage a couple cents in production cost.

Gotcha! I thought about it and came up with nine possible definitions that I thought could fit and interstingly enough did not come up with the correct one! :)
Thanks.
Dont feel bad 65, I do that all the time, especially with computer anagrams.

Now I have a stupid question.....All of my Savages have the allen head BAS or the slotted BAS, how do you unscrew the hollow ones like on the Axis that have the loaded chamber indicator sticking through the rear of the BAS? I haven't had an opportunity to look closley at one.
No I did not I left it out on purpose, the grand poobah said, that we are not allowed to say bad words.

No, it will not work. The lift kit you are giving away goes in the same spot as the cocking indicator.
Not to be smart, but you should really know what it will or wont fit before you give it away, and edit your post to say so. That way people with a newer style bolt wont try to fit something that doesnt fit their application.
On the same token, before somebody takes an item they should make sure it fits their application as well.

You could modify or find something like this. It is a compromise and would be much better off lightening the spring and polishing the mating components.
Pictures are worth 1,000 words...
Uncocked (Axis bolt)
Cocked (Axis bolt)
Disassembled Bolt (220 slug gun)
Close-up of Cocking Indicator/FP spring/Cocking Pin Assy. (220 slug gun)
Note that on the newer 110's with this FP assembly the FP spring will likely be two pieces.

What kind of butchered up atrocity is this?!?!?! First they have the flawed accutrigger now this. A device designed to fail. If you pull the trigger to the side and the firing pin strikes the primer. This dang thing disapears only to surface again once you operate the bolt. Now this thing....Savage has lost it's freaking MIND!!!!!
Wait, could this thing help with the assembly of the bolt as well?
